Honeystore Women's Latin Dance Shoes - T-Strap Glitter Mary Jane Closed Toe for Salsa, Ballroom, Tango - Perfect for Performances & Social Dancing

I previously purchased the iCKER GetMine Womens Latin Dance Shoes from this vender before and they work great (silver dance shoe with mesh and sequin).However, I ordered the Honeystore Women's Latin Dance Closed Toe T Strap Glitter Mary Jane Dance Shoes and the "gold" satin boarder all around the shoe is NOT GOLD, but NEON GREEN! WTH . . .Considering that it took 3wks to get here from Chine (why cant the US make quality and fairly priced dance shoes?) I will try a shoe dye in hopes of changing the Neon Green to Black.These shoes are really beautiful... But BEWARE they are dancing shoes... unless you contact the maker and request a hard sole, you will get soft, suede, dance soles that are not made to be worn outdoors. This was perfect for our purposes since my daughter needed them for a talent show production in which she played Galinda from Wicked and needed to dance on stage. She just put them on when she got to the theater. Also, keep in mind, the buckle is not a standard shoe buckle, but a dance buckle for easy removal. In other words, there is a hook that the buckle attaches to instead of actually using the buckle to close the shoe (as in a standard mary jane style shoe). Again, it is not a problem if you know what you are getting. The color was exactly as pictured and the shine on them was perfect for the part. My daughter said that although the shoes were a bit big (i.e., long) for her (We ordered 5.5. and she wears anywhere from 5-6 depending on the shoe), they were remarkably comfortable and stayed on her foot very well because of the T-strap design. The only reason that I did not give a full 5-star rating is because one of the buckles arrived stretched out and broken. It did not, however, make the shoes unwearable because the buckle is mostly decorative. I just ran the hook that was supposed to attach to the buckle through one of the holes in the strap. It was a bit awkward, but this worked well for our purposes. It did make the strap a bit long, however. I could have trimmed the strap (as others have recommended) but I just shoved the long part of the strap under the back part of the heal covering piece and this seemed to keep everything a bit more secure. I have contacted the seller and they want me to send a photo of the defect before sending the replacement piece. I am not sure if that is because they do not understand my description of what is broken (a language barrier perhaps) or if they do not trust me. I will update this review and drop the stars to three if I have any issues getting my replacement piece. Until then, suffice it to say, my daughter got nothing but compliments and felt wonderful in her outfit. The shoes were just the finishing touch she needed to give her that much needed boost of confidence. I hope this review helps... please select that it helped if it did. If you're considering buying, take a really close look at where the buckle meets the shoe around the ankle - zoom in. Do you see that? In no way does the strap attach to the other side of the shoe. The buckle rather is there to rest or "catch" in this other metal part - you slip the strap in to rest there from the top. This is my first time buying dancing shoes so I don't know if this is standard for dancing shoes?? It is certainly unlike any other shoe with a buckle that I've seen!BUT I ended up loving them. They are comfortable like no other heel I've owned, and fit my fickle size 7 like a glove. They are easy to work on the dance floor and won't slip, so I feel very confident wearing them. They are very beautiful shoes and so attractive! The only problem I had was the holes for the buckles don't go in deep enough on the strap to fit my ankle (the straps are long), so I had to make a couple with a needle and some thicker wire by poking it in the material. Once you put the buckle on though, to fit your size, you don't have to mess with it ever again since it is unlike any other buckle shoe. I also used my sewing scissors (very sharp) to cut off the excess strap, which now looks MUCH better. I hope you have luck with these!These shoes were a perfect fit! I got these shoes as a birthday gift for my sister. She absolutely adores them! Both my sister and I always have difficulty finding dress or elegant dance shoes that are comfortable. Most women's shoes are usually too narrow in the toe box. We usually have to sacrifice comfort for shoe style. This brand of shoes were made for women with a wide toe box (fore front of the foot). Now my sister and I can have comfort and style without having to pay a lot. The size of the dance shoe is the same as the street shoe size I normally wear. The shoes arrived early than expected and were packaged well. They included some cute lacy socks. There was a smell of glue initially but it lessened over time. The shoes are easy to put on and take off with the sliding buckle. Nice shoe design with the buckle. It has a good arch support and they felt sturdy but flexible at the same time. What I mean is that the shoe gave lots of support while dancing and was able to flex without making my arch feel like it was unsupported. I loved this shoe so much that I purchased another style of the same brand for myself. They did arrive ahead of time and were carefully packaged. I have wide feet, (EE), and amazingly, they fit perfectly and don't rub at all. Nice supportive lining under the arch of the foot. Very pretty to look at. The fastening is quite simple to work out, and probably useful to anyone who has to change in and out of them quickly between dances. Delighted!AVOID!! Do not buy these shoes, they are difficult and awkward to fasten and will slop, tried to send back. Got a returns label and payed packaging, they refused to accept back, with no fault to them as I had only tried them on, and they didn't open package but was sent back to me refused return, without them opening it. Disgusted.I bought these shoes in silver and black last winter from Honeystore on Amazon Marketplace. They are a perfect fit and very comforable even though my feet are quite broad. I have danced in them many times and they still look good. Now I am ordering the same style in gold, just for a change. Good value for money.Very reluctant 1 star if 0 was an option I would have chosen it! Where do I start with these terrible shoes?They look like they have been made by my toddler, the straps aren't even attached to the shoe on the fastening side, you have to put the strap through a little hook and one of my hooks was put on upside down! I ordered a 4.5 and they were enormous, the soles are very flimsy, in fairness unless you ask for rubber soles you will be given material soles which will never last a night at a party unless you sit down all night! The silver on the toes and heels is very cotton wool like and has lots of frayed looking edges all around the shoe which just look awful.My advice....Don't waste your money!!Just started ballroom lessons so decided to risk ordering a pair of dance shoes online. They are a wonderful fit and very pretty. I usually wear a size 3.5 or 4 in boots. I ordered the 3.5 and paid for express delivery. They arrived before the estimated date. Very happy, may order another pair in a different colour. ?
